Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Required License, National Certification, Certs:

o   BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

RN NC Compact/state license required

Skills required:

o   General nursing skills – IV starts, wound care/dressing changes/wound vacs/drains (there is not always a Wound Care RN available so must be comfortable with these), central lines (dressing changes, drawing blood), NG tube insertion, tube feeds, PCA pumps, kangaroo pumps, cardiac rhythm interpretation, etc.

o   There is no phlebotomy so must be comfortable performing lab draws

o   Drips: must be comfortable titrating Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, heparin, insulin (with Endotool).

o   Could see vented patients but experience not required. MUST be willing to be taught here though. The same goes for Precedex drips. Please include in offer if they have experience with these.

o   EPIC experience required

Minimum Years of Experience required- 2 years PCU experience
