Description
Critical Care (PEDS) - Registered Nurse - Rotating Shift
Orientation Dates: 4/13
Length: 8 weeks (may be extended to 12 weeks)
Hours per week: 48 hours
Shift: 12H mix of D/E/N
- Day/Eves/Night Rotating
- Majority of our travelers sign at the 12H shift, but the unit could potentially accommodate for 8H shifts if it's a solid candidate that the manager feels will be a great addition to the unit.
- The expectation is for our travelers to fill in the schedule gaps that our staff can't cover, so their shifts will depend on where the holes are.
Floating Requirements: will float between PICU and CVICU
Weekends: every other
RTO: RTO accepted—1 holiday required
Certs: BLS and PALS
License: MN RN
- Temp license is available for MN
Requirements: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, MN RN license, BLS cert, PALS cert, two years PICU nursing experience which includes the ability to care for: pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, and trauma patients, or two years pediatric CVICU nursing experience and competent to care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.
Experience:
- Prefers 2 years PICU and/or Peds CVICU experience with at least 1 year of travel experience.
