License

Iowa Nursing License

Certifications

Basic Life Support

Description

Certifications required: BLS, NRP

Ratios: 1:3 mom babe couplets, 1:1 labors for the most part depending on the case

Years of Exp required: no years in particular, just able to do labors, deliveries, and postpartum, would be amazing if had NICU experience too.

Blocked scheduling approved Y/N: we would love to have someone who is flexible.

Common Diagnoses/types of patients: Level 1 maternal care. Low risk births, have the occasional mag and GDM patients.

Common drips: insulin, mag, pitocin IV Pumps: we use Alaris pumps Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment: we have charge nurses on each shift. They do take an assignment.

Weekend Requirements: every 3rd

Floating requirements: we are a closed unit, floating is not required
