Unit Information:  Respiratory Services NICU/Peds Service Lines

Location: Mission Hospital

Address: 509 Biltmore Ave

 

Tell us about the unit(s):

·         Number of Beds – 51 bed Level 3 NICU, PICU 10 beds, Pediatric floor 20 beds

·         Number of Staff – 17 NICU/Peds RRT’s (120 Total staff)

·         Type of staff:

o    Day Shift –3-4 RRT’s for NICU/Peds service lines (15-20 RRT’s for Adult service lines)

o    Night Shift – 3-4 RRT’s for NICU/Peds service lines (12-16 RRT’s for Adult service lines)

·         Patient Ratios – 10 - 25

·         Type of equipment –Draeger Infant/Peds vents, HFOV, Infant Flow SiPAP, Newport HT70 and Hamilton T1 and C1 transport vents, Vapotherm. Additional equipment used in Adult service lines GE R860 Adult vents Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices.

·         EMR - Cerner

Skill Set Most recruited for:

 

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·         North Carolina Respiratory License

·         RRT- Registered Respiratory Therapist

·         BLS, PALS, NRP

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·          NPS

·         ACLS

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·         High risk deliveries and all airway and ventilator management

·          Intubation, extubation, capillary and arterial blood gas collection and analysis
