Travel RN – Behavioral Health Nights
Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years recent inpatient psychiatric experience

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. The nurse communicates changes in patient clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers as appropriate and participates in the discharge planning process.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting
Perform patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
Develop and update individualized nursing care plans
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
Communicate patient condition changes to physicians and nursing leadership
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team
Assist with discharge planning and patient education
Maintain patient safety and follow behavioral health protocols

Facility Requirements

Candidates must meet all requirements below:

Minimum 2 years recent inpatient psychiatric RN experience
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
CPI certification (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Idaho RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
