Travel Surgical Tech (OR) | 13-Week Contract | Vail, CO | Day Shift
 

Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment supporting operating room procedures. This role focuses on maintaining a sterile surgical environment and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Vail, CO
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week
• Start Date: May (flexible based on availability)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical field throughout procedures
• Provide instrumentation and supplies to the surgical team
• Ensure proper sterilization, packaging, and integrity of surgical tools
• Monitor sterile field and address any contamination risks
• Assist with room setup, turnover, and patient transport
• Support compliance with AORN standards and safety protocols
• Participate in time-out procedures, briefings, and debriefings
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization

Clinical Scope:

• Support procedures across multiple surgical specialties
• Work with patients across all age groups (neonatal to geriatric)

Requirements (Must-Have):

• Licensed Surgical Technologist – Colorado (required)
• Completion of Surgical Tech program or equivalent
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Recent Operating Room experience
• Strong knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques

Preferred:

• Experience with a variety of surgical cases (Tier 1 competency or higher)
• Familiarity with modern surgical equipment and technologies
