Location: San Antonio, TX

Unit: Resource Pool / ED HOLD (648)

Classification: RN – ICU

Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Call Requirements: No
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Special Skills/Experience required: 2 years +

***All candidates are required to float, while on the interview please inform candidate of the Methodist Floating Policy***

  • Patient Ratios : 4:1 – Overeflow units for ED Holds
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements: 3-12hrs / 26 Week Assignments
  • Floating policy: As needed

 

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set:

 

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

 

  • BLS REQUIRED
  • ACLS REQUIRED
  • NIH REQUIRED
  • 2+ Years of Hospital/Specialty Experience
  • Telemetry monitoring, experience with various drips

 

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

 

  • Meditech Experience Preferred

 

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)

 

  • Active TX RN License ONLY- temp License will not be accepted

 

Procedures performed on unit: 

 

  • Typical per progressive care departments

 

Patient Experience Required:

 

  • Telemetry Experience

 

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

  • Scrub Color
  • RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket
  • Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
  • Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
  • Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually
  • Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited

Techs stay on the scanner and don't allow other techs to scan, so your setting up all the scans all day sometimes. .
