Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, assembling, and storing surgical instruments, procedure trays, and medical equipment to support the Operating Room and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and store procedure trays, surgical trays, and medical equipment.
• Assemble and distribute case carts, supplies, and equipment to support the Operating Room and other departments.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment.
• Follow universal precautions during decontamination procedures.
• Package and transport sterilized instruments and supplies.
• Respond to emergency and add-on surgical cases in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records using department software.
• Assist with training newly hired team members.

Skills:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinic operating room preferred.
• Endoscope reprocessing experience preferred.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required.
• Active CRCST certification through HSPA or CBSPD required.
