Description
•Position Title: ARRT Licensed Vascular Interventional Radiology Tech
•Location: Grant Medical Center (Columbus, OH) in OR
•Shift: 5x8's Day Shift (0645-1515); every other holiday
•Call: Call and weekend expectation to take ¼ of total call including weekends
Minimum Requirements:
•HS diploma/GED
•Graduate of an accredited radiography program
•ARRT or current equivalent certification
•Must hold Ohio Department of Health radiologic license – PENDING ACCEPTED (24-48hrs to obtain)
•BLS Certification
•2 years of experience – May consider 1+ yr exp but MUST have Level I or Level II trauma exp
Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific:
The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. The most common procedures are abdominal aortograms with runoff, fistulagrams, carotid angios, EVARs. Must be able to operate floro and c-arm.
The department has an average of 20 patients per day, surgical Scrubs provided, labs run 2:1 RT: RN. EPIC charting. 2 endovascular suites and also open procedure ORs. Philips Epiq 7G, Parks Flo-Lab 2100SX, PenVasc reporting software, Epic/CareConnect EMR.
