Basic Life Support

Description

Required: 2 Years of Experience.

Unit WILL Accept 1st Time Travelers

REQUIRED Skills: IV Start and Telemetry.

REQUIRED Certifications: ACLS, BCLS and NIH.

JOB DETAILS:Ratios: 1:5-6.

FLOATING IS REQUIRED AS NEEDED to similar units.

REQUIRED Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per each 6 week schedule

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths, TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management, Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias, Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length.
