Description

RN – Neuro PCU | Night Shift | Travel Contract

🕒 Shift: Night – 3x12 hrs (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
⏱ Weekly Hours: 36 hours/week
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule Details

3 Night shifts per week (12 hrs each)
Total Weekly Hours: 36 hrs
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Holiday: Must work 1 holiday during the 13-week contract
Call-off Policy: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks

Unit Overview – Neuro PCU

Patient Ratio: 1:4–5
Adult neuro patients (stroke, neurosurgical recovery, epilepsy monitoring)
Includes 5 beds for 24-hr epilepsy monitoring
Traveler may float within skillset if needed

Required Certifications

BLS
ACLS
NIHSS

Skills Required

Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation
Rapid response/code team participation
IV therapy, blood products, central/peripheral line care
Cardiac drips (no titration)
Respiratory support (O2, non-invasive airway management)
Isolation precautions

Charting System: EPIC (required)

License

Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required
Pending license accepted only if from non-compact state
