Requirements

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Skilled home care experience – Required
  • OASIS training and experience – Required
  • Private duty nursing alone will NOT be accepted
• Clinical Skills (Required):
  • IV therapy skills
  • Wound care
  • Cardiopulmonary assessment
  • Post-operative care
  • Management of general and high-risk diagnoses
• High-Risk Diagnoses Experience:
  • Heart Failure (HF)
  • COPD
  • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
  • Pneumonia
  • Stroke
• Certifications:
  • BCLS – Required
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
• Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for home visits
  • Ability to self-schedule visits based on office needs

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Skilled home visits (6–8 patients per day)
• Wound care including wound vac and compression dressings
• IV therapy and venipuncture lab draws
• Foley catheter care and changes
• PICC line/Midline care and dressing changes
• SQ port access/deaccess
• Injections (SQ/IM)
• Glucometer and pro-time machine usage
• Staple/suture removal
• Pleurx/Asept drain care

Schedule & Work Details

• Shift Options:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Thursday–Monday or Friday–Tuesday rotations
  • Alternating weekends required
• Scheduling:
  • Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on HomeCare office needs
• Productivity:
  • 6–8 home visits per day
