🏥 Job Summary – Med Surg RN | Alliance, NE📍 Location: Alliance, Nebraska 🚗 Important: Travelers must have reliable personal transportation.🛏 Unit Details • 2nd Floor – 25 Private Bed Unit • 23 Med Surg beds + 2 Medical Decision Unit beds👩‍⚕️ Patient Population • COPD with exacerbation • CHF patients • Swing Bed patients (avg stay ~12 days) • Post-amputation care • Wound care • Long-term antibiotic therapy • Occasional post-partum &amp; pediatric patients📊 Nurse-Patient Ratio • Standard Ratio: 1:4 • 1:5 (rare / stretch) • Dedicated Charge Nurse every shift – does not take patients👥 Support Staff • Central telemetry monitoring + 2 portable monitors • 3 Case Managers + Social Services on the floor • 1–2 Nurse Aides / Unit Clerk typically available • Lab available 24/7 (handles blood draws) • Therapy team sees patients multiple times daily💊 Pharmacy Coverage • In-house Pharmacy: Until 11:00 PM (Mon–Fri) • Remote Pharmacist: Overnight &amp; weekends via UNMC💻 Systems &amp; Equipment • Charting: Meditech Expanse • IV Pumps: Alaris
