Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures on ambulatory and hospitalized patients. Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, this role supports the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury by producing high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols, professional standards, and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiology examinations as ordered by physicians or licensed providers
Properly position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the imaging process
Apply radiation safety principles and maintain compliance with ALARA standards
Review images for quality and completeness prior to submission
Accurately document procedures and findings in the electronic medical record
Maintain imaging equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and functional condition
Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
Comply with departmental policies, hospital standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

Less than one (1) year of experience required
New graduates are welcome to apply

Licensure & Certifications

ARRT Certification: Radiography (ARRT‑R)
State License: Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), Texas Medical Board
Basic Life Support (BLS): Required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
