Position Summary:

The Multimodality Technologist works under the general supervision of a Radiologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more modalities, with at least 50% focus in an advanced modality (CT). This role supports both ambulatory and hospitalized patients, ensuring high-quality imaging services aligned with physician orders and established protocols.

Primary Modalities

• Computed Tomography (CT) – Primary focus (50% or more)
• Diagnostic X-Ray (Radiography) – Secondary modality

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Sunday – Tuesday
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-Call: Rotating call, approximately every 4–5 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures safely and accurately
• Prepare patients for exams, explaining procedures clearly and compassionately
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CT and X-ray experience

Licensure & Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire
• Texas MRT License (Medical Radiologic Technologist), if applicable
• Certification in two imaging modalities through:
  • ARRT or
  • ARDMS / ARMRIT, depending on modality
• Must work at least 50% of time in the second modality

Approved Certifications Include (not limited to):

• ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-M, ARRT-N
• ARRT-S, ARRT-VI, ARRT-CV, ARRT-CI
• RDMS (AB, BR, FE, OB/GYN, PS)
• RVT, CNMT, ARMRIT
