Description

Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Augusta, GA 30901

Job Type: Contract 13 Weeks with possible extension

Schedule: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours (3 days x 12 hours)


Note: Must be able to manage the following cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) - milrinone (Primacor), dobutamine (Dobutrex), Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, Heparin


Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including administering medications, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and supporting physicians in managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
  • Assess patient condition and report any abnormalities or changes promptly
  • Administer medications, including cardiac drips, as prescribed
  • Provide care to patients with cardiac conditions, post-operative cases, and other acute illnesses
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Respond quickly to cardiac emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
  • Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
  • Assist with procedures and provide post-procedure care

Required Qualification

  • Active GA or compact RN license
  • 2 years of Experience in Telemetry
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NIHSS
