Trauma Level: level 2 NICU 

Position Information: 
• Specialty: NICU 
• Weekend Hours: Every 3rd weekend/As Needed.  
• Call Requirements: None 
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE 

• Years of Experience: 2 
• Float Requirements: Postpartum/Well Baby Nursery 

Unit Information: 

• Number of Beds: 4 labor rooms, 9 postpartum, 4 NICU 
• Patient Ratios: 3:1 NICU 
• Equipment: NICU: CPAP, Vent, UVC, IV 
• EHR: Meditech and OB Tracevue 

• Supervisor: Ashlie Rinkes, Director OB Department  

• Patient Population e.g. “geriatric, adult, peds, etc.”: laboring/postpartum moms and newborns 

Hiring Profile: 

• Must Have Skills/Experience: NICU: 2 years level 2 or higher  
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Minimum 2 years level 2 or higher NICU, well newborn nursery  
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: respiratory distress; hypoglycemia 
• Personality Fit: Looking for a nurse who thrives off teamwork and puts patient safety/care first 

• Required Education: Certification/Licensure to work as an RN in TN.

• Scrub Color: No certain color: solid scrubs 
• Any unacceptable attire: No prints
