General Information

Number of Beds – 24
Number of Staff – 71
Type of staff:
Day Shift – labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator
Night Shift – labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary
Patient Ratios – labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1
Type of equipment – GE fetal monitors
EMR – Meditech, CPN

Must have:

At least 2 years of labor experience

Preferred or nice to have:

2+ years of labor experience with a history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN Fetal monitoring certification, Active RN license

Dress Code:

Navy blue scrubs/ MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security

Weekends and On call:

Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4 week schedule
