Description

Emergency Room (ER) RN – Day/Night Shifts
📍 Location: Omaha, NE

Shift Options: 12-hour shifts

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    (Scheduling based on unit needs; block scheduling not guaranteed)

Overview:
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department at a certified stroke center with 18 beds, treating a wide range of high-acuity patients across all age groups. Ideal for RNs passionate about emergency medicine and team-based care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience – required
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, HSS (workplace violence training)
  • Experience with high-acuity patients preferred

Unit Highlights:

  • 18-bed ER | Ratio: 1:4–5 (based on acuity)
  • Certified Stroke Center
  • EPIC EMR | Alaris IV pumps
  • Charge nurse on each shift
  • No floating required

Patient Types & Skills:

  • Chest pain, stroke, sepsis, trauma, behavioral health, orthopedic & ENT cases
  • Common drips: antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, emergency meds
  • TeleHealth integration & purposeful rounding

Schedule & Orientation:

  • Every other weekend required
  • 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
  • Navy blue scrubs
