Description
Emergency Room (ER) RN – Day/Night Shifts
📍 Location: Omaha, NE
Shift Options: 12-hour shifts
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
(Scheduling based on unit needs; block scheduling not guaranteed)
Overview:
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department at a certified stroke center with 18 beds, treating a wide range of high-acuity patients across all age groups. Ideal for RNs passionate about emergency medicine and team-based care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience – required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, HSS (workplace violence training)
- Experience with high-acuity patients preferred
Unit Highlights:
- 18-bed ER | Ratio: 1:4–5 (based on acuity)
- Certified Stroke Center
- EPIC EMR | Alaris IV pumps
- Charge nurse on each shift
- No floating required
Patient Types & Skills:
- Chest pain, stroke, sepsis, trauma, behavioral health, orthopedic & ENT cases
- Common drips: antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, emergency meds
- TeleHealth integration & purposeful rounding
Schedule & Orientation:
- Every other weekend required
- 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
- Navy blue scrubs
