Job Title: RN – ICU Step Down

Location: New York, NY
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Shift: Day/night
Hours: 34.5 Hours per Week
Schedule: 3 Days/Week
 

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – ICU Step Down to provide high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care. This role involves close monitoring, advanced clinical interventions, and rapid response to changes in patient conditions in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients transitioning from ICU to step-down unit
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, ventilators, feeding tubes, and other medical equipment
• Perform frequent and detailed patient assessments
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Respond to cardiac arrest and rapid response situations
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of Medical/Surgical Step Down experience OR ICU experience
• Minimum two (2) years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Active New York State RN License
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
