LOCAL PAY: $60 TO $63/hr on W2.
TRAVEL PAY:
Hourly Pay: $48/hr on W2
Housing Stipend: $700 weekly
Meals: $546 weekly
Weekly Gross: $3550 weekly for 48 hours
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - Registered Nurse
Unit: IMCU
Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502
JOB DETAILS:
Full Time - 13 weeks contract
Day Shift - 6:30 am to 7 pm (12X3 shift) // 36 & 48 hours weekly
Floating Required - Yes
Scrub Color - Navy Blue
EMR Exp - EPIC
Unit Specifics - Common Diagnosis - Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Resp: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post op. Specialty Equipment-Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo
Vents - Yes, chronic vents -unable to wean- RT to assist
Patient Demographics - 18 years - Adults
Number of Beds in the Unit - 64 beds / 15 designated Neuro beds
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine medical necessity and discharge needs
Develop and implement individualized discharge plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Coordinate post-acute care services including home health, SNF, rehab, DME, and community resources
Perform utilization review to ensure appropriate level of care and prevent avoidable delays
Communicate with insurance providers regarding authorizations and coverage requirements
Facilitate timely discharge planning to reduce length of stay and prevent readmissions
Advocate for patients and families to ensure safe, cost-effective care transitions
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination meetings
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and available resources
REQUIREMENT:
At least 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU - Required
NY RN License
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Travel experience required
