Local Contract Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Unit Specifics:

·         Number of Beds : 16

·         Type of equipment : Ventilators, CRRT, Hemosphere, Impella, ICP monitors, Arterial/CVC lines

·         Documentation system: Meditech

·         Scheduling requirements: Self-scheduling. Days: every 4th weekend, 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule. Nights: 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun night)

·         On Call Requirements: None

·         Floating policy: Float to Cardiac Care Unit only when overstaffed

·         Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Nurse Leader to round on patient prior to DC

Hospital Specifics-

·         Certifications: Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center

Requested Skill Set: Critical care experience required, strong communication skills, ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team, vent management, experience with sedation/vasopressors/blood products, comfort with goals of care conversations

Must have: Team focused attitude

Advanced skills needed: Neuro ICU experience a bonus 😊

Procedures performed on unit: Cardioversion, PEG placements, EGD, bronchs, EVD placement, chest tube insertion, central line/art line placement, Rapid Sequence Intubation

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
