Hours: 34.5 Hours per Week
Schedule: 3 Days/Week

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU (PICU) to provide high-quality, specialized care to critically ill infants and children. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Educate patients’ families on care plans and procedures
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of Maternal and Child experience
• Minimum two (2) years of conscious sedation experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification from NYSED
• AHA BLS and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong pediatric critical care experience

Additional Notes:

• Experience in high-acuity pediatric settings required
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills essential
