• Level III Maternity
• Primary Stroke Center
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Beds: 167
• Covid vaccine required
• General Information
• Beds: 36
• Experience: 3 years
• First-time traveler: Upon review
• Patient Types:
• Multi specialty ICU - High acuity Neuro/post Cardiovascular surgery/medical/surgical/trauma ICU. CRRT
• No pediatrics/burns/transplants.
• Special competencies are required for post Cardiovascular recoveries, CRRT and neuro patients so contract staff may not be assigned to this population.
• Patient Ratios:
• 1:2
• Required Certifications:
• RN: BLS, ACLS NIHSS
• Skills required:
• trachs, vents, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, procedural recoveries, temporary pacemakers.
• Support on the Unit:
• CNA – 1:12
• Charge nurse does not take an assignment
• Centralized tele monitoring with a tech
• Bedside monitoring
• 24 hour Intensivist coverage on unit
• Mid-level coverage.
• Full time ICU educator
• CV coordinator
• Charting System/Equipment:
• EPIC
• Alaris
• Pyxis
