Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as per physician orders
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures such as PET, SPECT, and other diagnostic scans
  • Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety standards
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EMR systems
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members for optimal patient care
  • Educate patients about procedures and post-procedure care
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
  • Active California state license (if applicable)
  • Certification by ARRT (N) or NMTCB
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in nuclear medicine
