1. Job Summary

Seeking a skilled ICU/PCU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract role in State College. This position offers both day (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) and night (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) 12-hour shifts, working 3 shifts per week, and involves delivering high-quality critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced environment.

3. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on patient condition
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond to life-threatening emergencies
• Maintain airway, ventilation, hemodynamic stability, and cardiac function
• Administer treatments and interventions per established critical care protocols
• Assist with procedures such as temporary pacemaker insertion and patient transport
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and confidentiality

4. Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or PCU nursing experience
• Experience managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting
• EPIC experience preferred (due to upcoming system transition)

5. Required Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program

6. Required Certifications

• Active RN license (PA or Compact)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
