Description

Clinical Laboratory Scientist II – Travel Contract (Tyler, TX)

Start: ASAP (Urgent Need)
Duration: 13 weeks (04/13/2026 – 07/12/2026)
Shift: Days | 5x8 hrs (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
Location: Tyler, TX

Key Requirements:

Strong Transfusion Service (Blood Bank) experience – required
SBB certification highly preferred
Minimum 1 year experience (or accredited lab program graduate)
Bachelor’s in Medical Lab Science or equivalent
Certification required (MT/MLS/CLS/MLT – ASCP/AMT/AAB)

Responsibilities:

Perform routine & complex lab testing (Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Micro, etc.)
Operate and maintain lab equipment
Ensure quality control and accurate reporting
Handle specimen processing and critical value reporting
Assist with new procedures and cross-training across departments

Additional Info:

May include phlebotomy and patient-facing tasks
Must be flexible to cross-train in multiple lab sections
