Description

Med-Surg RN – Travel Contract | Wheeling

🚨 MUST HAVE (READ BEFORE APPLYING)

50-mile radius rule (Driver’s License = source of truth)
👉 Must submit UNEXPIRED Driver’s License copy
All license hits must be disclosed at submission

🩺 Job Details

Specialty: Med-Surg RN
Shift: 12-hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend
Contract: Travel (36 hrs/week)

📋 Requirements

Minimum 2 years Med-Surg experience
Active RN License
BLS required
NIHSS required
ACLS (preferred)

🏥 Unit Info

52 beds (all private rooms)
Ratios: 1:6–1:7 (mostly 1:7)
Charge RN takes full assignment
CNA support: 4–6 per shift

💻 EMR

Sunrise

🫁 Equipment & Drips

BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow
Heparin drips (common)
No cardiac/insulin drips

🧠 Patient Population

Ortho & neuro post-ops
General surgeries (bariatric, gallbladder, etc.)
COPD, pneumonia, infections
Hemodialysis (PD experience preferred ⭐)

🔄 Floating

Med-Surg / Oncology units
Possible IMC (Med-Surg overflow only)

🧭 Orientation

General hospital orientation
2 full shifts on unit

🎽 Dress Code

RN: Navy blue scrubs
CNA: Grey

Hospitalist, IV Team, RT, Pharmacy: 24/7
