Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, experience in PET scans, and the ability to work across multiple care settings including hospital and clinic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment (GE preferred)
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Start and maintain IV lines for imaging procedures
- Follow infection control protocols, including isolation precautions and PPE
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- CA CDPH NMT License – Required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB Certification – Required
- AHA BLS Certification – Required
Preferred Certifications:
- PET Certification – Preferred
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in adult patient population – Preferred
- Experience working in hospital and clinic settings – Preferred
- Proficiency with GE equipment – Preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and compliance protocols
- Experience with IV initiation and maintenance – Preferred
