Description
Functions under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Vascular Institute Manager. The interventional special procedures technologist assists with providing safe, age appropriate care to the patient by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures. The technologist has the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study. He/she is responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of the equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. He/she sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure. Able to perform procedures in both the IR, Vascular Hybrid and Neuro-interventional setting.
Requirements
Shift: Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, (4) 10hr days
On-Call: 15 shifts per 4 weeks
Friday thru Sunday Call- 1 to 2 per month
Requirements: Cath Lab experience at least 2 years preferred
Scrubs: Hospital provided
- ARRT-CV - ARRT Cardio Vascular Interven or ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography or ARRT-VI - ARRT Vascular Intervention Rad or RCIS - Registered CVI Specialist
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Preferred or
ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor Upon Hire Preferred - Minimum 3 years experience in Interventional Special Procedures either in IR, cardiac or vascular hybrid setting. Required

Not organized, DON of unit not compassionate. Sometimes they don't have a Charge Nurse on day shift. They automatically send new patients to the unit with no report given! The nurse assignments is not based on acuity. Etc
