Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
4/20 or 5/4 start date
Unit: Observation Medsurg
Certs: Must have active AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NIHSS - must be attached to profle upon submission
Skillset: PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Facility is a modern, high-volume facility in Newburgh, IN with strong traveler support and consistent extensions. Part of a large, well-established health system serving the tri-state area, offering a wide range of services including ICU, ER, surgical, and stroke care.

Known for a team-oriented environment, fast-paced workflow, and reliable resources — a solid assignment if you’re looking for stability, support, and a place you can extend.

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS and NIHSS Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Recent Epic Experience Required Patient Population: Chest pain, abdominal pain, flank plank, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness/awaiting placement/geri-psych placement. Skillset: PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio): 32 beds. Ratio: Days 1-4:5; NOCs 1:5-7; Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignment on NOC shift. Unit Strengths: Excellent teamwork with support of fantastic LPNs and CNAs. Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs - No competing health systems or agency logos * 3 call-ins can result in termination * *** Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires *** Covid-19 Vaccine Not Required -- Subject to change GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed

Pros

I have worked with this company for 3, along with a few others, and they have been great! They seem to be very appreciative of their staff and always sending appreciative gifts to you. I can’t say much now that they have joined TotalMed, but am looking forward to see what develops.

Cons

Rates are not always the best, would be nice to have a few more eastern and southern state options, like Mississippi or North Carolina cities
