đŸ©ș Position Overview

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) supports both clinical and administrative operations within a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role assists providers with patient care tasks while managing front desk coordination, scheduling, and patient flow.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

✅ Core Responsibilities

Clinical Support

  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare for exams
  • Assist with procedures, injections, and vaccinations
  • Perform point-of-care testing (urine, glucose, EKGs)
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Support medication administration and prescription refills

Patient Coordination & Scheduling

  • Manage patient check-in and check-out
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals
  • Handle CRM/In-basket messaging
  • Assist with radiology scheduling

Administrative Duties

  • Verify insurance, collect payments, and update patient records
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation
  • Manage medical records and disability paperwork
  • Ensure exam rooms and clinic areas are stocked and organized

Customer Service

  • Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and care teams
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide timely support
  • Deliver a high level of patient-centered service

🎯 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Certification (required or equivalent training)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment

⭐ Preferred

  • CMA (Certified or Registered Medical Assistant)
  • Experience in outpatient clinic or care coordination
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and scheduling tools
