Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry
Location: Sioux City, IA
Assignment Type: Travel
Start Date: 04/27/2026 or 05/04/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours: 48 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry to join the interdisciplinary team at UnityPoint – St. Luke’s Downtown. The RN will provide high-quality patient care on a general medical/surgical floor, primarily caring for post-operative patients requiring overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver patient-centered care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Monitor and assess post-operative patients and respond to changes in condition.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Float to other units within the same discipline when required.

Requirements:

Active Iowa RN license (Compact license accepted).
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg/Telemetry.
At least one prior travel assignment required.
Certifications required:
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
EPIC experience preferred.
Must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.

Floating is required. No on-call requirement.
