Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
• Complete patient population/age-specific education and competency testing per unit standards.
• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of current experience in a large Emergency Department, including experience within the last year.
• At least 13 weeks of total travel experience in nursing.

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
