Description
DCH - Travel: MS/Tele General Surg 5S
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week.
Every other weekend. Holidays as required by the facility.
Our General Surgical Unit is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care for our general surgical patients. Nurses in this area have a 1:6 ratio and are trained in all aspects of postoperative care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures. In this area, we especially value a comfortable and healing environment for each individual patient and their unique needs. This team will closely collaborate with local family practice physicians, hospitalists, as well as our surgeons.
Education - Required
- Associated degree in nursing
Certifications – Required
- AHA BLS
- Or Red Cross
Licenses – Required
- Registered Nurse State of Alabama or compact license (No Temp Licenses' accepted)
- NURSYS
Experience - Required:
- 2 years experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of RECENT experience in the field of specialty.
