Description

Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Nights | 13 Weeks

Location: Torrance, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights - 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a busy acute care hospital. This unit handles both low and high-risk deliveries with approximately 200–300 births per month. Ideal candidates are confident in fast-paced environments and skilled in both labor and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

Manage laboring patients and assist with vaginal and C-section deliveries
Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to complications
Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and IV therapies
Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
Float to Mother/Baby unit as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of L&D experience
Active CA RN License (required at submission)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced (or C-EFM)
Experience with Epic charting system
Prior travel experience required
Strong skills in C-section circulation & recovery, fetal monitoring, and high-risk cases

Additional Details:

Patient Ratio: 1:2
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Yes (Mother/Baby unit)
Orientation: 24 hours
