Description

Licensed Practical Nurse  
Location: Pinon, AZ 86510 

Pay Rate: $42 per hour plus $1,533 weekly travel stipends (if applicable)  
Schedule:  

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (40 hours/week) 

  • Thursday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM 
  • Schedule set by Supervisor (SCN) 
  • May rotate across departments and shifts as needed 

 

Contract Length: 1 year 

Benefits:  

  • $5.09 per hour Health & Welfare
  • PTO: 10 days per year
  • 56 hours of sick leave accrued annually

Job Description: 

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care in an IHS facility, supporting multiple departments including outpatient, women’s health, pediatrics, and urgent care. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to deliver patient-centered care across all age groups in a dynamic healthcare environment. 
Requirements: 

  • Minimum 36 months of LPN experience, including at least 12 months in a relevant specialty (ER experience preferred) 
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program 
  • Active BLS certification 
  • Ability to meet federal onboarding and compliance requirements 
  • Valid driver’s license (may operate GSA vehicle if required) 
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, medications, and patient care practices 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients across all age groups (pediatric to geriatric) 
  • Perform patient assessments and implement care plans 
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed 
  • Assist with procedures (splinting, suturing, wound care, etc.) 
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately 
  • Perform triage and assist in emergency situations 
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care 
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment (EKG, suction devices, etc.) 
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in compliance with standards 
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care 
  • Follow all IHS, OSHA, and Joint Commission regulations and policies 
  • Support inter-facility patient transport when required
