🚨 Role Overview

• Position: ER RN (Emergency Room Nurse)
• Contract Dates: May 18, 2026 → July 12, 2026 (8 weeks)
• Purpose: Support staff during Epic EMR go-live transition

💻 EMR Requirement (Important)

• Must have experience with:
  • Cerner
  • Epic

👉 This is non-negotiable since the assignment is specifically for an EMR transition.

⚠️ Critical Requirement (Can Make or Break You)

Telemetry / Dysrhythmia Test

• You must:
  • Self-study telemetry strips BEFORE starting
  • Pass a basic dysrhythmia test during your first week

❗ If you fail the test → you cannot work in the ER

👉 Translation: even if you're ER, they expect cardiac rhythm competency

🏥 Core Responsibilities

• Rapid triage and prioritization of patients
• Emergency care (assessment → intervention → evaluation)
• Coordination with:
  • Physicians
  • Other departments
• Ability to handle high-acuity, fast-paced situations

⏱️ Call Expectations

• Not regularly scheduled for call
• BUT:
  • May be placed on-call during low census
  • Must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in
