Description
Preop Nurse
Shift: Day Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: min 2 Years
Location: Roswell, Georgia 30009
Pay Range: $33 – $59 per hour
Job Description (JD):
- Conduct preoperative patient assessment (history, vitals, labs, allergies)
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent
- Prepare patients for surgery (NPO status, hygiene, IV access, documentation)
- Administer prescribed preoperative medications
- Provide patient education and emotional support
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols (WHO checklist)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and OT staff
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Single State or Compact)
- BLS certification
- ADN required, BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
