Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Surgery / OR (Day Shift)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 5×8‑hour shifts

🩺 Key Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory OR setting
Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and recovery support
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection‑control standards
Support surgical teams across multiple specialties including:
- Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Pain Management
Perform specimen handling, labeling, and documentation
Ensure compliance with universal protocols and surgical safety checklists
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
Document patient care accurately in Epic (preferred)

📋 Required Qualifications

Active California RN license (must be active; no pending licenses accepted)
Minimum 1 year OR or Outpatient Surgery RN experience
BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
Ability to float to the Main OR (located across the street) as needed
Strong knowledge of surgical workflows and patient safety standards
