Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Operating Room (Day Shift)
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 5×8‑hour shifts

🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory OR setting
- Prepare patients for surgery, including assessments, positioning, and safety checks
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection‑control standards
- Assist with surgical procedures across specialties including:
- Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Pain Management
- Handle specimens appropriately and document per policy
- Follow Universal Protocol and surgical time‑out procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient care accurately (Epic preferred)
📋 Required Qualifications
- Active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 1 year OR or Outpatient Surgery RN experience
- BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
- Ability to float to the Main OR (located across the street) as needed
- Strong understanding of surgical workflows and patient safety standards
