Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Operating Room (Day Shift)

Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | 5×8‑hour shifts

🩺 Key Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care in an ambulatory OR setting
Prepare patients for surgery, including assessments, positioning, and safety checks
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection‑control standards
Assist with surgical procedures across specialties including:
- Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Pain Management
Handle specimens appropriately and document per policy
Follow Universal Protocol and surgical time‑out procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Document patient care accurately (Epic preferred)

📋 Required Qualifications

Active California RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
Minimum 1 year OR or Outpatient Surgery RN experience
BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
Ability to float to the Main OR (located across the street) as needed
Strong understanding of surgical workflows and patient safety standards
