Description

Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Day Shift

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Department: Operating Room (OR)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Candidates must have recent OR experience and be willing to rotate weekends and take call as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care in accordance with AORN standards
Prepare patients for surgery, including assessments, positioning, and safety checks
Circulate and assist during surgical procedures
Maintain sterile technique and infection‑control practices
Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff
Accurately document care using Cerner
Float to other Adventist Health surgical locations as needed
- AHDL, AHTV, OPSC, AHSB

Required Qualifications

Active California RN License
Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience
BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
Cerner experience – REQUIRED
