Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Technician
Location: Highland Hills, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
Seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to work day shifts in a behavioral health unit with a 72-bed capacity. The role involves rounding on patients, assisting with vitals, and supporting patients throughout the facility, including outdoor breaks. The patient population includes individuals with detox needs, psychosis, depression, and multiple diagnoses.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Shift: Days
- Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be able to cover all 3 units
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Equipment: Standard equipment for obtaining vitals
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician, with experience within the last year
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses
- Detoxification
- Psychosis
- Depression
- Multiple psychiatric diagnoses
Dress Code
- Scrubs: Solid grey or black
- Unacceptable attire: Hoodies, shirts with strings, sweats, ripped clothing, etc.
Additional Notes
- This role requires physical stamina and the ability to engage with patients compassionately.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required.
