📌 Job Summary – RN (48 Bed Unit) | 36 hrs/week

📍 Basic Details

• Weekly Hours: 36 hrs/week
• Shift: 12 hrs (7 AM – 7 PM / 7 PM – 7 AM)
• Unit Size: 48 Beds
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year RN experience
• First Time Travelers: Accepted ✅

📋 Requirements

• Certifications: BLS + Active RN License
• Radius Rule: 50-mile radius applies
• Submission Requirement: Copy of unexpired Driver’s License required
• Licensing hits: Must be disclosed at submission

👩‍⚕️ Patient Ratio

• Days: 1:5 – 1:7
• Nights: 1:6 – 1:8

🩺 Common Patient Types

• Pneumonia
• UTI
• AMS
• GI Bleed
• Alcohol Withdrawal
• Falls / Weakness

💉 Drips

• Titration: Yes (except cardiac drips)
• Common Drips: Heparin, Bumex, Lasix

👩‍⚕️ Unit Support

• Charge Nurse: Present every shift
  • May take assignment on days if 2 charge nurses
• PCT / CNA Support:
  • Ratio approx 1:10–12
  • Duties: vitals, BGM, EKGs, heart monitor setup, bathing, feeding, toileting, repositioning

🫁 Respiratory Equipment

• BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow O2
• RT manages equipment & treatments
• RN role mainly monitoring & troubleshooting

📡 Telemetry

• Central Monitor Tech watches telemetry
• RNs not required to interpret strips

📅 Scheduling

• RN Shift: 7–7
• CNA Shift: 6–6
• Self Scheduling: ❌ No
• Manager creates schedule (RTO considered)
• Rotating shifts typically 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights

📆 Additional Requirements

• Weekend: Every other weekend
• Holiday: Possible rotation
• Call / Standby: None

🔁 Floating

• May float to MS, MS-Tele, or IMC for lower acuity patients

👕 Dress Code

• RN: Navy Blue
• PCT: Ceil Blue
• Secretary: Black & Pink

🎓 Orientation

• Day 1: Educator + Computer Training
• Day 2: Unit Orientation with Preceptor
