Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will primarily function in direct patient care, demonstrating competent clinical practice. Key responsibilities include:

• Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients.
• Act independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations.
• Provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients.
• Perform multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills.
• Assist physicians with procedures and provide comfort to patients and their families.
• Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families.
• Manage ambulance radios and give appropriate orders for prehospital care.
• Work with sophisticated equipment in a frequently stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• 25%: Perform nursing assessments, intervene appropriately, and participate in care planning.
• 25%: Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as per physician's plan of care.
• 20%: Process physician/provider orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• 15%: Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and suggest improvements.
• 15%: Actively participate in updating/revising treatment plans in collaboration with team members.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) - Required
  • NRP - Required
  • TNCC - Required
• Travel Experience: Highly preferred.
• Work History: Must provide a skills checklist current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty.
• References: 2 supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years.
• Location Restriction: Candidates must not be local (100-mile radius restriction).
