Travel Oncology Pharmacist – Infusion Center | Day Shift | 26 Weeks

We are seeking a highly experienced Travel Oncology Pharmacist to support a hospital-based infusion center. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialized oncology setting while enjoying a longer-term assignment.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Oncology / Infusion)
• Schedule: 5x8s (Day Shift)
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 8-hour days
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Hospital-Based Infusion Center

Responsibilities

• Verify and review oncology medication orders for accuracy and safety
• Prepare and compound chemotherapy and hazardous medications
• Ensure compliance with USP standards for hazardous drug handling
• Collaborate with oncology nurses and providers to support infusion patients
• Monitor patient therapies and lab values for treatment appropriateness
• Provide clinical support and medication counseling as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
• Support safe and efficient pharmacy operations in an infusion setting

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to start)
• PharmD required
• Minimum 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Current oncology pharmacy experience required
• Experience with chemotherapy preparation and hazardous drug compounding
• BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospital-based infusion centers
• Strong knowledge of oncology treatment protocols
• Experience working in smaller or critical access facilities
• Ability to work independently in a specialized setting
