Travel Pharmacist – Acute Care | Teaching Hospital | 4x10s

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for a high-acuity acute care hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a large, teaching hospital environment with a strong clinical focus.

Job Overview

  • Specialty: Pharmacist
  • Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s (Variable Shifts)
  • Shift Options: Days or Nights available
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Setting: Acute Care / Teaching Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care in an acute care setting
  • Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness
  • Participate in clinical decision-making and patient care planning
  • Deliver medication education and drug information to care teams
  • Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with safety standards
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust recommendations as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Support pharmacy operations, workflow, and departmental initiatives

Requirements

  • Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
  • PharmD required
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
  • Completion of PGY1 residency OR equivalent clinical experience
  • BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent acute care or hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience in teaching hospital environments
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
  • Previous travel experience

Additional Details

  • Variable scheduling (day or night shifts available)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating may be required to other units within the system
  • Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations across all age groups 
PGY1 residency or strong equivalent experience preferred Epic experience is highly preferred Must be flexible with shift scheduling Travelers may float to other locations within the system Strong compliance requirements (references, work history, labs, etc.)
