Travel Pharmacist – Home Infusion | Sterile Compounding | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support a home infusion pharmacy setting. This role combines clinical oversight, sterile compounding, and operational workflow in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist
• Schedule: 5x8s (Day Shift)
• Shift Options: Rotating between early and late shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Home Infusion / Specialty Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Perform sterile compounding of medications in compliance with USP standards
• Ensure adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines
• Provide clinical oversight for infusion therapies and patient care plans
• Perform medication reconciliation and patient counseling
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and pharmacy staff
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and compounding workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Support inventory management and medication distribution processes

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to start)
• PharmD required
• Sterile compounding experience required
• Experience with USP 797 and USP 800 standards
• Strong understanding of infusion or specialty pharmacy workflows
• BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Home infusion pharmacy experience
• Experience in fast-paced production environments
• Strong operational and clinical balance
• Previous travel experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Details

• Monday–Friday schedule
• Rotating shifts based on business needs
• Overtime may be required
• No set closing time (flexibility required)
