Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient | 4x10s | Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for an inpatient hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is confident in both clinical and operational responsibilities and enjoys working in a collaborative, smaller hospital environment.
Job Overview
- Specialty: Pharmacist
- Schedule: 4x10s (Day Shift)
- Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness
- Compound and dispense medications in accordance with pharmacy standards
- Provide clinical guidance and drug information to healthcare staff
- Monitor patient therapies and ensure optimal medication outcomes
- Support pharmacy operations including workflow, inventory, and compliance
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accuracy of medication preparation
- Maintain adherence to regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Participate in performance improvement and clinical initiatives
- Assist in pharmacokinetic dosing and patient-specific medication adjustments
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in smaller or critical access hospitals
- Strong clinical and operational skill set
- Experience with IV compounding and aseptic technique
- Previous travel experience
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced but lower-resourced setting
