Description

Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient | 4x10s | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist for an inpatient hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is confident in both clinical and operational responsibilities and enjoys working in a collaborative, smaller hospital environment.

Job Overview

Specialty: Pharmacist
Schedule: 4x10s (Day Shift)
Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders for safety and appropriateness
Compound and dispense medications in accordance with pharmacy standards
Provide clinical guidance and drug information to healthcare staff
Monitor patient therapies and ensure optimal medication outcomes
Support pharmacy operations including workflow, inventory, and compliance
Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accuracy of medication preparation
Maintain adherence to regulatory, safety, and quality standards
Participate in performance improvement and clinical initiatives
Assist in pharmacokinetic dosing and patient-specific medication adjustments

Requirements

Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in smaller or critical access hospitals
Strong clinical and operational skill set
Experience with IV compounding and aseptic technique
Previous travel experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced but lower-resourced setting
