Travel Pharmacist – Oncology IV Room | Day Shift

We are seeking a Travel Pharmacist to support an oncology pharmacy team in an IV room coordinator role. This position offers a strong clinical focus in a cancer center environment with an opportunity for long-term placement.

Job Overview

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Cancer Center / Hospital Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee IV room operations within the oncology pharmacy
• Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications, including chemotherapy
• Ensure compliance with USP standards and sterile compounding protocols
• Collaborate with oncology providers, nurses, and pharmacy staff
• Monitor patient therapies and support safe medication administration
• Maintain accurate documentation within pharmacy systems
• Support workflow, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations
• Provide guidance and oversight to pharmacy staff within the IV room

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand or pending prior to start)
• Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work in a clinical oncology or IV compounding environment
• Strong attention to detail and sterile compounding knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior oncology or cancer center pharmacy experience
• Experience with sterile compounding and IV room operations
• Epic experience preferred
• Previous travel experience
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
